As we continue on our trajectory of growth and sustainability, we are seeking  R&D Hardware Engineer.

Job Description:

• The R&D Hardware Engineer is responsible for: Specification, architecture, design, simulation, schematic, layout supervision, prototype, validation, and manufacturing of li –ion battery management systems circuit boards.
• Work closely with New Technologies team, battery design team and business development team.
• Taking an active role in prototype development, prototype assembly and testing.

Qualifications:

• BSc /MSc in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or related field,
• 3+ years of design experience,
• Circuit board design. (Altium preferred) Specification, architecture, design, simulation, prototype, schematic, layout supervision, validation, and manufacturing
• Strong understanding of analog & digital circuits (MOSFETs, op-amps, switching regulators, gate drivers, microcontrollers, etc) and component selection, variance, power dissipation, thermal management, etc.
• Ability to tackle problems,
• Follow full life-cycle of product development process,
• Proficiency with lab equipment (solder, oscilloscopes, electronic loads, signal generators, etc),
• Good knowledge of inter-module communications protocols (I2C, SMBus, SPMI, etc.),
• Strong EE fundamentals in electronic circuit design/development with microcontroller-based embedded system,
• Familiarity with power semiconductors, microprocessors, DC-DC power supplies, and communication circuits,
• Basic programming ability,
• Stay up to date with technology trends and vendor roadmaps,
• Advanced English writing and speaking skills,
• Exceptional organization and communication skills.
• Nice to have;
• Experience with programming embedded systems,
• Experience in design and development of battery management system algorithms and software,
• Experience with model-based control development using MATLAB/Simulink.
