MAIN MISSIONS

The Plant Controlling Manager has the following main roles:

• A role of control over the reliability of site operating and financial data and the transparency of the explanations given in relation to past, present or future financial data.
• A role to disseminate financial culture and the main Group management tools across each site.
• Through their skills and knowledge, the Plant Controlling Manager must enable all the teams to understand the main financial aggregates and the financial consequences of the decisions taken or envisaged, in particular in terms of ROCE.
• A role to apply for the Group financial rules on its perimeter
• A role to support, partner, challenge the Plant management team

Takes part in, Carries out, Proposes and Provides Support with all aspects of financial control within the scope in order to:

• Be responsible towards the Group, and for the scope, of the reliability of Management data and compliance with procedures,
• Draw up the results for the scope according to the methodology, criteria and indicators defined by the Group,
• Respond to the Region's financial requests,
• Provide the Plant General Manager and the Management team with the analyses, comments and suggestions to understand and potentially improve economic performance within their scope.

In collaboration with the Plant General Manager and under the responsibility of the Regional Controlling Manager,is responsible for:

• Monitoring Plant key performance indicators (Sales, MPD, Quality, Financial, HR...)
• Business partnering with all plant departments (spending time on the shop floor, knowing the manufacturing processes...)
• Gathering and considering part of the data of the operating and financial performance ongoing improvement plan in order to achieve the targets set
• Preparing P&L and analyzing the results and a monthly review with the PGM and Regional Management and follow-up of related action plans
• Sharing monthly results with the plant management committee
• Updating the grid of price
• Analysing the Quality of Turnover and reconciling it with the P&L,
• Alerting the PGM to shortfalls in relation to targets and deviations from procedures and the reality observed in the field (data reliability),
• Drafting of budgets and ensures they are followed by Budgetary Control,
• Monitoring capital expenditure and the corresponding pay-back calculations.
• Proposing changes to the Financial Control tools.
• Liaising with the Product Line teams for future products on a regular basis. (profitability by project, cost variance between actual and forecast)
• Liaising with the technical data manager (bill of material, routings, article management...)
• Coordinating and providing information to the auditors for controlling topics

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration , Economics or equivalent subject followed by min 10 years of considerable experience in the industrial sector preferably in Automotive industry.

Professional Abilities:

• Rigorous, curious, well-organised, persistent, capacity for analysis and synthesis, discretion, discipline and sense of responsibility towards the company;
• Good listening and interpersonal skills, capacity of analysis and synthesis and independence.
• In-depth knowledge of desktop applications especially in Ms Excel.
• Fluency in English: B2 at least.

Technical Knowledge:

• Knowledge of the basic rules of accounting,
• Knowledge and on hand usage of cost accounting including budgeting,
• Knowledge of a SAP especially FI and CO modules.
• Knowledge of  Financial Control methodology.
