What you will be doing as an CI & Shift Engineer?

The core focus of the CI & Shift Engineer has responsibility for the entire factory during his shift. He is the first responsible person in the factory between 17:30 - 24:00. It works under the chief of the business, is assigned by other directorates and chiefs, and its activities are supervised.

This will be done through the following activities:

· It controls the intake of oil trucks, Empty packaging materials, finished goods and all kinds of materials coming to the facility.

· He/she is responsible for fulfilling the instructions given by the relevant managers and chiefs during working hours.

· Responsible for eliminating any problems that may occur in production. In cases beyond his control, he informs the relevant chief or directorate about the issue.

· Supervises and ensures that factory employees work in accordance with work discipline.

· Provides coordination between units.

· Responsible for taking samples in accordance with quality plans and instructions during production.

· Responsible for taking samples from by-products and final products in accordance with control plans.

· Responsible for ensuring intermediate product and final product standards at every stage of production.

· Deals with employee problems. It has the authority to give the employee leave due to any illness during his shift.

· Finds solutions to technical problems encountered in the facility or carries out the necessary coordination and activities to find solutions.

· Detects bottlenecks in production. It carries out development studies to increase production and reduce costs and puts the approved studies into practice.

· Reports the operations carried out and unusual situations during his shift to the plant manager.

· Ensure that the units under his/her responsibility are always clean and tidy; It ensures that the machinery, equipment, tools, and equipment in the facilities are used and protected appropriately.

· Ensures necessary maintenance and repair activities are carried out.

· Responsible for reporting any malfunctions or requested maintenance work via the SAP system.

· Supervises and ensures that employees follow the hygiene rules.

· Responsible for ensuring occupational safety in the units he is responsible for during his shift and ensures that occupational safety issues are fully complied with. Responsible for the issuance, control & approval of written (BEUSS) permits for works requiring special permission (7 works involving high potential risks).

· Identify the devices or equipment that create energy that are used unnecessarily in the relevant department and report them to the relevant supervisor. To report this situation to your superior when you detect energy losses.

· Contributing to the achievement of factory general goals through field studies by using problem-solving techniques such as Root-Cause analysis, 5 Whys or Fishbone.

· Playing an active role and participating in global continuous improvement programs such as BMOS (Bunge Operational Management System), BPS (Bunge Production System), WPO (Business Process Optimization)

· Promoting continuous improvement

· CI Leading & BMOS Leading

· CAPEX Projects Implementation & Reporting

The position is based in Ayvalik, it will report to our Plant Manager.

What do we expect from our CI & Shift Engineer?

· Technical university degree;

· 3-5 years of experience in a similar position for other companies with production activity, preferably in food area;

· Experience in the food industry sector

· Knowledgeable of ISO 9001; 14001; 50001; FSSC 22000

· English skills- advanced;

· Good communication & negotiation skills;

· MS Office- advanced (especially Excel knowledge);

· Availability for emergency calls in case of critical incidents and for working at height and in confined spaces.
