Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in international trade, business administration, economics or a related field
• At least 3 years experience in a related field (in international trade, customs regulations/procedures, import/export compliance and/or logistics)
• Excellent command of both written and spoken English
• Proficiency in MS Office applications and knowledge of database software, and web-based applications (Preferably Microsoft AX user)
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, teamwork oriented,
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

Communicate with international and domestic suppliers to ensure proper documentation and packaging of goods.

• Ensuring continuity of international supplier research, selection and evaluation,
• Ensuring compliance with all import laws and regulations and generate necessary import documentation such as invoices, bills of lading, and customs declarations.
• Control and follow up required documents to clear products from customs to ensure correct declaration and proof against penalties,
• Following and managing import processes via customs consultancy firms,
• Track shipments and communicate with transportation companies to ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Reaching out to suppliers for necessary purchases, collecting and evaluating offers,
• Conducting cost analysis and cooperating with the finance department on payment issues,
• Maintain import records and update inventory systems as needed.
• Preparing contracts for materials, equipment and services to be purchased,
• Conducting alternative supplier / sub-industry research,
• If required, planning and conducting supplier/sub-industry audits and controls, reporting audit results and initiating remedial actions
• Following up the import processes in line with the Logistics Budget and Import Department KPI targets
