QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsible for overseeing the operation of the signature restaurant's kitchen, including menu implementation, management of kitchen staff, and ensuring the highest quality of food production, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen.
General Qualifications
- Proven experience as Department Chef in the kitchen
- Good knowledge of cooking techniques
- Leadership and management skills
- Ability to create and implement menus
- Good knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Certification from a culinary school or degree in Culinary Arts is a plus
Job Description
- Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen
- Manage and train kitchen staff,
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
- Monitor food and labor costs to maintain budgetary goals
- Collaborate with the restaurant management team to plan and execute special events or promotions
- Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed
- Handle any kitchen-related issues or emergencies
