The company produces as a subcontractor for leading automobile companies worldwide. Its Turkey location has been operating in the Izmir Ege Free Zone since 2009.

Our company, operating in the Ege Free Zone, is looking for a Material Planning Specialist. The job description and qualifications for the position are as follows:

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Acts as a primary communicator with related suppliers, both internal and external, regarding the status of purchase orders.
• Responsible for the material requirements planning and scheduling of components.
• Responsible for giving feedback about delivery time & quantities to the suppliers in necessary cases.
• Prepares and releases to suppliers and continuously validates supplier's performance through the use of our rating system. Identifies implements and continuously seeks improvement to a cost-effective MRP system.
• Manage all material inventory according to global KPIs. (optimization and control)
• Update and maintain all inventory records and do cycle counts to verify records.
• To manage revision changes systematically with the Project Team.
• To control material requirements according to the weekly work orders and inform the team in case of constraints.
• Full responsibility for taking all precautions to avoid production lines’ stoppage due to any material shortage.
• Minimizing the excess stock by following up the special cases such as EOP projects and by taking required actions.
• Updating material stock strategy quarterly (ABC Analysis) and ERP system implementation accordingly.
• Preparing & sharing yearly material forecast volumes with supplier and following the feedback to manage any capacity or raw material risk.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Requires “Industrial Engineering degree or equivalent.”
• Min 3 years of experience in material planning department is preferred.
• Macro knowledge is preferable.
• Must be fluent in English both written and verbal.
