Our client is a group of companies operating as an insurance broker and a shipping agency for over 70 years in the global market.

We are looking for a “Marine Technician” to join the team in Istanbul office.

Requirements:

• This is a pivotal role within the company and therefore demands a responsible and flexible attitude
• The ideal candidate will need to have strong computer skills. Good communication and organisational skills are also essential
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft products (Word, Excel and Outlook or similar software applications)
• Ability to prioritise workflow and manage internal and external stakeholder expectations
• Ability to communicate in English effectively and professionally both verbally and in writing with clients, colleagues, insurers and other associates (mandatory)

Job Description:

• Handling own portfolio of accounts
• Production of insurance documentation (eg: slips, cover notes, endorsements etc)
• Calculating premiums and processing entries on to our inhouse broking system
• Lineslip bordereaux production and closing
• Review and process line-slip declarations as and when required
• Produce debit/credit notes and closings for Underwriters
• Liaise with the bureau in order to resolve any queries that may arise
• Build and sustain relationships within the team, with brokers and with colleagues abroad in order to resolve any processing problems
• Be responsible for own workflows
• Keep required records, reports and files in an organised manner and locate these for Management when required
• Dealing with any ad hoc enquiries
• Liaising with direct clients
