Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role as a Deck Superintendent / DPA at Soylu Group SA. The Deck Superintendent / DPA will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the deck department operations, ensuring compliance with maritime regulations and safety standards, managing onboard personnel, and maintaining vessels in optimal condition. The Deck Superintendent / DPA will also collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and efficient vessel performance.

Responsibilities:

·       Monitor technical performance and operational conditions of allocated ships,

·       Ensure that all ships are fully certified according to the requirements,

·       Arrange surveys, dry dockings and repairs,

·       Supervise repair / maintenance jobs, including dry-dockings and attend important surveys,

·       Supervise purchase of technical materials,

·       Prepares detailed operating budgets for maintenance, dry-docking and surveys,

·       Prepares reviews and annual reports on vessel's budgeted and actual expenditures,

·       Prepare technical reports to owners.

Qualifications

·       Graduated from Deck department of a reputable university,

·       Past seagoing experience is a must,

·       Previous experience in a similar role,

·       Strong knowledge and experience in deck maintenance and repair,

·       Fluent in English Language. Knowledge of Russian Language is a plus,

·       Good knowledge of applicable international and national codes, guidelines and standards such as ISM Code, ISPS Code, SOLAS, MARPOL, EU ETS, etc.,

·       Good knowledge of shipping and seamanship,

·       Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving deck-related issues,

·       Excellent organizational and multitasking skills,

·       Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines,

·       Strong communication and leadership skills,

·       Attention to detail and a strong focus on quality,

·       No travel restrictions, domestic or international,

·       Driver’s license and good driving skills.
